How can I remove a federal lien on my home due to my wife's conviction?
I need to remove a Federal lien on my home. My wife was convicted in a Federal Court and they placed a lien on my house because her name is on the deed. Her name is not on the loan. Can the water supplier refuse to sell me water after 12 years?
I own a mobile home as a rental and have been buying water from a pvt. water system for 12 years. I am on a easement type road and the county will not run a water line to my property. A well is on my property but is contaminated so the system owner who buys water from the county and has a line running past my property is the only way I can get water. The seller without notice to me has cut the connection to my property and refuses to answer telephone calls and has not replied to a letter I mailed him. I went to his house and talked to his wife and she stated that he did not want to sell me water any more. The water line belonged to someone else when I bought the property 12 years ago and this guy took it over about 4 years ago. I have been paying the water bills they put in my mailbox without fail for 12 years. I think he has to continue selling water to me. What can I do?
Can I hold the seller responsible for my septic system issue?
I bought a house 9 years ago, I understand that i have to maintain my septic tank and make repairs as needed. But now i have the state of Alaska telling me I have to replace my whole septic system because it is illegal, It seems when we bought the house the current septic tank is pipe directly below our house into our neighbors yard. This is totally illegal and now the state wants it fixed. We had no clue of this and it was never disclosed to us at the time of purchase. We just found out last week. Who can i go after on this issue? I do not feel that it is my responsibility and if I would have know about it i would not of purchase the house for the price ask. I would have either had them fix it, or take the cost off the price of the house.
How can I gain full ownership of an FHA mortgage property from my brother?
I have an FHA mortgage with my brother (who is engaged), it is currently worth less than we paid for it. He would like to give me full ownership which I agree to. However, I cannot qualify for the loan by myself. How can we legally give me ownership (even if he may still be responsible for the debt if I default) and be sure that I would not lose the house in the event of his possible divorce? I do not know how to go about getting this done or which form I may need. Thanks for your help.
What should I fill in on a quit claim deed form?
Hi, on Quit Claim Deed form : what do i need to fill in after: CONVEY and QUIT CLAIM please advise. Also a bit below it asks for the Recipient Signature. Does this mean my buyer of the land needs to sign or will the County follow this up? because i'm sending it to Lee county in Florida. thanks
