How can I ensure the father signs the birth certificate?
I live in Portland OR and will be having a baby in November. I want to find out if there is a way that I can make the father sign the birth certificate of our child. We are not married and he is the only possible father. He had stated in an earlier conversation that he will not be there for the delivery, I have very little of his information and he is no longer answering the phone for me to contact him. I also would like to know my rights for getting child support.

Can a hospital put an ex-husband's name on a birth certificate without consent?
My step son and his girlfriend just had a baby. He is the father of this child. They both wanted the baby to have his fathers last name. But the hospital refused to do this and put her ex husband's name on the birth certificate. Can the hospital legally do this with out there consent? What should my son and his girlfriend do?
What rights does my ex-husband have regarding the unborn child?
My ex-husband got involved with another woman during our marriage which led to our divorce. The woman is unfortunately unbalanced and got pregnant to trap him into marriage. He is not going to marry her, so she has threatened to move to Louisiana, to get help from her ex-husband. She already has five children, four who are minors. I want to know what my ex-husbands rights are involving the unborn child and how he can take steps to insure that he gets access to his child. Can the mother move away, and can he legally stop her from moving? Once she moves, how does he gain joint custody of the child? Her ex-husband is threatening to keep the child from him.
