Can my sister live with me before emancipation is granted?
I with my sister am going to be filing for an emancipation of a minor, but my sister does not yet live separate from her mother. We are filing this under the advice of legal aid and CPS, in order to remove her from having to live with her mother because of severe emotional abuse. I was told it would be the quickest legal process we could use. My question is: Is it legal for my sister to begin living with me now, or will she have to legally remain at her mother's house? And if so, how can we legally file this petition?

How can I get emancipated without my parents' approval?
I'm 16 years old, and I just found out that I’m pregnant. Now my mother is trying to do a lot so that I can’t talk to the baby’s father or see him. His mother wants me to live with them so that we can be good parents and not be separated. What do I have to do to get emancipated? And can I do it with out my parents approval, because the way things are going with my mother, I’m never going to be able to see him. And how long will it take?
