What should I do if I suspect a pedophile in my apartment building?
I live in an apartment which I feel my children are no longer safe. I am not 100% positive but I am relatively sure that a man residing in the building is a pedophile. He has been caught with a twelve year old in his garage (talking about how he would have sex with her). I have talked to the office about it with no response. Where do I go, and what do I do from here?
How can I recover the $150 deduction from my security deposit?
We recently rented a house in Lantana, TX for 8 months. We had a walk through with the landlord and gave him a list of things wrong with property which listed that the carpet was not clean at move-in. Upon moving out on March 29th, we again had another walk through to which the landlord stated that "I owe you money" as the house was clean with no damages The lease states he has 45 days to return our deposit. He did in fact return $1100.00 (out of 1250.00 - $500.00 Security and $750.00 Pet Deposit) without giving us any explanation for the $150.00 deduction. I did send an e-mail asking why there was a discrepancy to which he stated it was a "hold over" for treatment of pet dander. Our lease does not include any non-refundable amounts in either the Security Deposit or Pet Deposit. To this date I have not received a list of charges or a receipt for the treatment of pet dander. What can I do, if anything to get the $150.00 back?
What are a tenant's rights if a landlord must terminate a lease early?
We are the landlord of a house in a subdivision. We currently have a one-year lease signed with a tenant (the standard lease drafted by the St. Louis Realtors Association). We just found out the subdivision is submitting a proposal to a commercial investor for a buyout. If agreed upon, the buyout would require us to have our tenant move out in the middle of the lease term. What is the tenant's legal recourse if any?

What are my rights in a mobile home park after a termination notice?
What are my rights as to living in a mobile home park, and the person I am living with has been given Termination of Tenancy. Does the Park owner have the right to have us move our Mobile Home, which I own half, and I have no violations on myself. The owners only have his name on the termination of Tenancy. Also, do they have the right to ban him from ever coming into the mobile home park after he is evicted? The Termination notice to quit tenancy is June 7, 2007. What are our rights and what can I do about this? He is going to make them take him to court. The Park says they have pictures of him putting food scraps out the back door for the animals. They also say that he had been urinating outside but have no pictures.
