My boyfriend and I signed a lease on our apartment together, and one day he decides he wants to leave no notice or anything. Is he still responsible for his half of the rent or am I held accountable?
Can we address privacy issues with the owner's son using the shops?
We are renting a house on 1 acre. There are some shops in the back of the property which is in our backyard. The owner's son has started to work in the shops. We have no privacy in our backyard. Also, we found out that he is on probation because of drugs. When we signed the lease agreement the shops were not a part of our agreement. They did not tell us that someone would be using them. We have talked to the owners and they are not going to give us anything off of rent and they are still going to allow him to come 3 times a week.
We are not comfortable and we are paying a lot for rent and have to take care of all of the outside yard. Is there anything we can do?

What should I do about my withheld security deposit?
I was on a month to month lease. Gave notice on 01/15/07 to move out on 02/15/07. Actual move out was on 02/05/07. Property manager and I did walk-thru of apartment. She mentioned nails in walls, nothing else. I gave a forwarding address. On 03/17/07 received certified letter of intent to withhold $85.00. No explaination was given as to what the $85.00 charge was for. My deposit was $400.00. I was to get back partial rent since I had paid full amount for the month. Total amount that was owed to me was $629.46(that includes taking out the $85.00). I got a check for $115.00. Management said I was to recieve three separate checks for total amount. Despite numerous efforts, I am unable to get the rest of the $514.46 owed to me. It has been over 3 months since I moved out. What do I do?
