What is the Good Samaritan law in Kansas?
I saw a 5 year old kid outside my hospital. He had several injuries on his body (later I got to know he was hit by a car) this kid was probably brought by someone and left there. As soon as I saw the kid, I got him inside and started the treatment. The doctors came and his life was saved. Can I land into trouble for this (I work as a nurse)?
What is the Good Samaritan law in Indiana?
I was driving to work when I saw a small boy got hit by a motorbike. I was getting late to work but with an intention of saving the kid’s life, I went up to him checked his injury and then asked another guy to take him to the hospital. I gave little money to this guy for taking the kid to the hospital. Can I land into trouble for not taking the kid to the hospital myself?
Is a doctor person liable for the extra injuries while treating a person at the scene of a crime?
I'm a doctor practicing in WV. While I was walking through the road I found a man attacked by someone and in a worst condition. I gave first aid at the scene and carried him to my clinic and stitched his wounds. While I carried him, he sustained some more injuries. Am I liable for those new injuries?
Can a non-medical person be sued for using a defibrillator in an emergency situation?
My uncle falls down unconsciously while walking in a public park. While we asked for help a nearby guy came with a defibrillator and applied on him. He was neither a doctor nor a medical professional. Later the ambulance arrived and we carried him to the hospital. But he was already dead. I think the use of defibrillator might be the cause for my uncle's death. Can I sue the guy for this?
Can a person sue another for his carelessness while helping in an accident?
I met with a bike accident and suffered some injuries. A nearby shopkeeper came to help me. When I asked he gave me some water to drink. But the water was dirty I think and I fall ill and bedridden for about a week. Can I sue him for that?
