What does present consideration mean in deposit account fraud?
Georgia Criminal Code 16-9-20, Deposit Account Fraud (bad check). A person commits the offense of deposit account fraud when such person makes, draws, utters, executes, or delivers an instrument for the payment of money on any bank or other depository in exchange for a present consideration or wages, knowing that it will not be honored by the drawee.
My question is: define "present consideration" as it is used in this code section.

What is the time limit on cashing a check that you wrote to a business? You write a check and account for it in your ledger but the business cashes the check over 2 months later and causes your account to be overdrawn and is threating to send you to collections over it. What can you do?
