Hello, I am trying to find a pro bono bankruptcy attorney to take on my mom's case. She has zero assets and about $35,000 in debt. My mom lives with my 85 yr old dad and 48 year old disabled sister and is personally battling colon cancer. I wish that I had the means to help. Can you advise please!

Do I need a lawyer to file a petition to show just cause to remove my brother as administrator of my mother's estate?

In a civil case, can a judge decide on an issue NOT brought by petition to the court (though introduced at trial), and use that issue to award the petitioner an award if the petitioner has otherwise failed on the original issues of the petition? Specifically, can the judge impose a constructive trust if the petitioner has failed (as admitted by the judge) to meet the test for a constructive trust? The question pertains to a Surrogate's Court decision in Rockland County, New York.

My ex has befriended a family law lawyer and has now hired her, as stated in phone messages, but not on court record. We have a 6 yo son in CA, me 100%custody, 50/50 legal. I found out he takes my son to her house to play with her son and have social evenings with their spouses too. She is leading my son to favor his dad over me and making him more confused. She is trying to help my ex get more custody of my son and pumps my son for information about me and our life together. Is it legal for her to represent my ex now that they have made 'friendship' bonds with my minor son? My ex uses any tactic to get free legal assistance and to harm my son's mind. Thank you for your advise! I haven't been served anything yet, but have been told 'it's coming.' Is it ethical for her to represent him as his attorney?

The Miami-Dade family court has ordered a Writ of Bodily Attachment for a friend of mine because of a divorce case. He does not live in Florida; only his wife and son do. I want to know if he can fly into New York without being held at the airport for this court order.
