What documents are correct for a public job in Indiana, ie.: Public School job? We are a supplier and have been paid for a portion of the balance. We need to supply a waiver for the payment on this school project.

My plumber filed a mechanics lien on my single family home almost 90 days after the last labor was performed or materials were used. How do i challenge the validity of the lien? No contract was ever signed for the work and no change orders were ever presented/signed. The legal question is regarding a house in Wilmington, Ohio, Clinton County.

Can an architect file a mechanics lien in Pennsylvania for unpaid fees and if possible, what would be the pertinent timeline for such action?

A Florida licensed building contractor who normally practiced in the Sarasota, FL area contracted to rebuild my house after Hurricane Andrew. I fired him for nonperformance after his last completed step payment which I paid but he then filed a mechanics lien on my house (1994) for work not yet completed. The lien in fact was for reconstructing the entire house even though he only finished a small fraction of it. An attorney that I went to told me that the lien would expire in 1 year if he did not file suit so I just ignored it. Recently, I found out that that lien as well as one filed by one of his suppliers on my house is still listed on the Miami Dade county clerk's website. Do I need to petition the county clerk to have the lien removed or is it possible that it remains valid ?

We provided maintenance services on a helicopter for a company who will not pay us. We filed a lien in Blount County and with the FAA in Oklahoma. We just learned the helicopter is up for sale. Is there anything else we can do in the way of repossession, attachment, foreclosure, to prevent the aircraft from being sold. We are in contact with the financial institution who financed the aircraft. Also, we were told by others that if the aircraft was sold outside the U.S. our lien would be worthless.
