Abandoned Property

A family member and I shared a self storage unit. After my relative did not pay the rent for three months, I took over the unit in my name, paid all back rent, and changed the locks. How do I collect my money and get his belongings out?

In a computer repair shop how long are you responsible to store a persons computer after the repair is made? Numerous attempts have been made to the customer with no response.

A new board for our HOA was elected and has the agenda to dissolve the HOA. Does the common areas such as a small park and a jogging path around the neighborhood then become abandoned? The city does not have the resources or any interest to acquire the property. Can I claim any of the "abandoned" property adjacent to mine?

I am looking for abandoned property laws for Louisiana. We are a self storage facility and we recently purchased a property and have some occupied units, but don't know who they belong to. Previous manager has no paperwork for these units and no one has paid since we have taken over the property August 1, 2007. I want to know what legal recourse we have to get rid of this or how long do we have to keep it if no one shows up before we can auction?

I am half owner of a home and sole owner of the land on which it sits. I recently helped to evict a person who was staying there (off and on--no consecutive days). He called the state police who informed him he has squatters rights. My daughter (who is the other owner of the home) has started an eviction process and a PPO. We removed all his belongings and he has found other living quarters. He however has a vehicle of a questionable nature in my garage. Is there squatters rights in this case? Can he come into the home at his leisure to look for other property as he has threatened to do? What are my options as far as the questionable vehicle goes? The eviction and PPO are being processed.
