Abandoned Property

Through a Sheriff Sale, we acquired land and a dwelling. On the property are two titled boats, + misc. items of value in the house. What are the steps we need to take to get legal title of the boats and how long till dispose of the stuff in the dwelling. We want to 'flip this house' is our goal?

My daughters roommate left all of his things in the house and I was wanting to know how long must I keep it before i can legally remove from the property? It has been here five months now.

We had a contractor put up a building for us. He had cash flow issues so we paid for some of the materials for him to keep the job moving. We found out that he did not have any liability or workers comp insurance when the job was 70% done. We told him he had breached his contract and that we could not have him work on our property without insurance. His contract said he would have insurance. He left all of his tools and job trailer on our property and did not contact us. He called once to ask about picking up the trailer several months ago but did not show up to do so. It has been eight months. Some of the work he did on the building was incorrect so we had to hire another contractor to complete the job and fix his errors. We have lost $11,000 in the process of all of this. The job still has another $1000 in work to be completed 100%. He just called me to ask about picking up his things. I thought they were abandoned and we have been considering suing him or small claims court to get some of our money back. I don't think he has an assets to go after however so I don't know what we can do. The tools and trailer may be worth $2500.

I recently bought some property, the woman that lived there, took most of her things out of the trailer, and threw everything in the yard, now she's been gone over a month and the trailer and her stuff is still there. What can I do? I am in NC, and i want the mess cleaned up.
