Our family has a pending civil lawsuit regarding some land that we have been paying taxes on for over 50 years. The family adjacent to us is stating that the land is overlapping and that the land belongs to them. They have not produced any proof. However, if the judge rules in the plaintiff's favor what further recourse will we have?

So the agent found _an inspector without license .he marke the report of the property _but he just check small details. So my agent didnt advise me how could bad could be the house and he's 30 years old experienced person on the business of real sate. So I bought the house when they gave me the house I found out the house was falling apart.after that mine Main idea was about to fix the house I found a handy man to fix the house but(case 2)it'll_cost me like 60 thousand to fix it. And the contractor wasn't doing a good job so i fired him and pay him 17,400 I'm advance but he just did very little job cuz he worked a week and then he was requesting for 10000 more after that week and hes claming more money cuz he said he had a lot of expenses. But I did asked to another contractor and he went to check the house and he told me that the_contractor didnt spend more than 6 thousand so I'm very concern about it and I need to know if it's possible suit the agent and the handy man.what can I do? I am recently divorced, my ex-wife is keeping the house, and I have already been paid my share of the equity. She is going through the assumption process to take over the loan and needs me to give her a quit claim deed in order for the loan assumption to go through. However, there will be a period of time before I am released of liability from the loan because the bank is in another state, and will need me to mail the deed to them. Am I at risk during that time period being responsible for the loan, but no longer having the house as collateral? And is there anything I can do to relieve myself of that liability during that time?
