Paternity

Can a woman residing in Buffalo, New York deny a New York court ordered paternity test? If so, how does the father go forward to obtain visitation rights? The child is eight months old; the father is not named on the birth certificate. The assumed father is trying to get visitation/parental rights but the mother has denied he is the father to block him from seeing the child.

What happens in a case where a woman decides that she wants to now say her child is yours when before you had a lawyer then she denied it to be yours now she wants to say the child is and sue for child support?

Re: Paternity. What steps should be taken for an adult son, living in California, to get legal recognition of his father who was not married to his mother. Father lives in the State of Florida. No help was ever given to aid the child. Health records were requested but never given. Future inheritance is also a consideration. I am his mother. I tried to get information but was told that my son, since he is of legal age, would have to do that. His father's name is on the birth certificate, however, there was no legal procedure (which I would do differently now that I am older that which I could not emotionally do before). It seems only fair to him, and he is willing to do so.

My girlfriend is pregnant, but now she denies the baby is mine. She doesn't want me to take a paternity test. Is there any way I can get a court order to have it done, even if she refuses?
