Paternity

Can I file a paternity suit based on blood test results?
I would like to file a paternity suit based on the blood test results from the oldest daughter in my family. I made this discovery in August after I had filed for divorce. Daughter is 20 yrs old and her blood type doesnt match when mine and moms is mixed. I am retired military, so I can file in Kansas(formerly stationed there) or Iowa (residing there now). Do I have a paternity suit, and if so, which state would be the most advantageous to file in?
Did signing paternity papers create a legal mistake for my son?
My son is not convinced the he is the father of a newborn child. He signed papers at the hospital in Va. because he did not want to upset the mom. Did he make a terrible legal mistake? What are his legal, not moral responsibilities in this case? He is going to have a paternity test done, but after signing these documents is he too late?In other words if he is not the father is he still financially responsible?
Can I terminate my ex-husband's parental rights based on paternity in Connecticut?
I have a 5 year old son. Both my ex-husband and I knew ther was a chance that my son wasn't his child. It was agreed it didn't matter and we would try to put our marriage back together and he would raise my son as his. Shortly after my son was born the marriage fell apart. We were divorced 2 years ago and paternity wasn't contested at that time. Approx 6 months ago my ex-husband was badgering for a pternity test, I did get the testing done and he is not the biological father. He does paly somewhat of a part in my sons life however, I would like to get his parental rights terminated but still allow him visitation to my son. We live in the state of Connecticut. Is the Termination of Parental rights based on Paternity a possibility? Especially seeing as I would still allow visitation which would be in the best interest of my son at this age. The reason I would want this done is soley legal purposes. If something were to happen to me my son at this point would automatically be left with my-ex husband, I do not want this to be the case. Thank you, a very concerned Mom!! I made a mistake at the time of my divorce and really need to know how to correct this for my sons sake!! Thanks again
Can we revoke my wife's ex-husband's parental rights without stopping child support?
My wife has two children ages 13 and 11 from a previous marriage. Her ex-husband has had visitation rights every other weekend. He has decided that he doesn't want anything to do with them anymore. He is leaving threatening messages on our phone wanting us to get the children out of his name. I believe he thinks if he don't want to see them, he won't have to pay child support. We would like to have his rights revoked. It would be a dangerous situation for the children to be around him again. We cant afford an attorney. Can we get this done on our own? We do not want his child support stopped. He has only had visitation for about three years. He was in jail for a few years. He has a violent background. We have made copies of the messages he has left. So What I really need to know is can we petition the court to revoke his rights without changing the child support aggreement. If so, How do we do this.
Can a sperm donor legally give up parental rights in Oregon?
I am in a Domestic Partnership legally and just had a child. We are two women and our friend donated the sperm for insemination. He wants us to get a legal document so that we are protected. He wants absolutely nothing to do with the child. Is there a form that we could have him sign stated that he gives up his paternal rights? He is not on the birth certificate. My partner and myself are. Thank you!
