Can a seventeen year old move out of her parents house legally without her parents forcing her to return? I have a friend who is nineteen and she and I want to work and put our income into an apartment or house. What is required in order to get emancipated. Do my parents have to give permission to have me emancipated?

My daughter is expecting a child in August. They have been arguing about the name. My son-in-law is insisting that she name this child after his grandmother and she is adament about another name. What I want to know is, can anyone beside the mother decide the name and anyone other than herself fill out the birth certificate? He is telling her he is going to do it at the hospital while she is asleep.

This question is about my 16 year old step daughter. In the divorce she was to split her time equally between her mom and dad. However, she has decided to live full time with her dad without changing legal documents. Her mother claims her on taxes and her ex-husband is directed to pay child support directly to the mother. The 16 year old is pregnant. She will continue to live with us(dad and step mother). Who is the guardian of the grandchild? The 16 year old isn't allowed to check herself out of school to go to her own doctor appointments; so, how will she care for a sick child if need be? Also, who claims the infant on taxes?
