What are the steps to become emancipated at 17?
I recently visited the juvenile court website in order to find information on becoming emancipated. I am 17, I turn 18 in December, but the situation Im in makes it hard to wait until that time comes. I am currently living with my aunt, who only has temporary guardianship of me. My mom did not want me to stay with her, because we argue a lot. I know it is normal for mothers and daughters to argue, but at this point it poses a health problem to her. Its been this way since she got married, and her husband doesn't want me there. I quote, he told my mom it would be "a living hell" when I returned to their home. I do have a job, and I am ready to accept the financial responsibility for myself. I basically take care of myself now; I buy my own food, clothing, and other necesities. My aunt provides room and board but I feel if I was emancipated I would be able to take care of myself and life would be much easier for myself and others included. There is so much more to this situation, but I really would like someone to assess what I have spoken about so far, so I can know the steps I need to take to become emancipated.
Can I move 60 miles away with shared custody?
I'm recently going through a custody battle, my ex-boyfriend and I. We have 50/50 Placement and custody. We both live in the same town now but i want to move about 60 miles away but in the same state. I would stay at my parents house two days of the week, and I work close by. Is it OK to move?
Can I file for parental rights termination and emancipation for my son?
My son is 17. He has been in and out of detention for the past 3 years. He has dropped out of school, refused to live with me (he doesn't feel the need to follow rules), currently lives with his sister, sharing rent. He wants to be emancipated now. He'll be 18 in October. He has his own vehicle, job and a 9 month old son he helps support. I have no control over his behavior. and he follows no home rules. At this point, I would like to file voluntary termination of parental rights along with his emancipation. His mother wants nothing to do with him.

What are the potential consequences for my son after recent arrests?
My 17 year old son is out of control. We have tried everything. Two weeks ago he was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor , criminal trespass of a vehicle he was released on an i bond has a court date of 6/8. This week he was arrested in a different city same county and charged with a class A misdemeanor.. some kind of theft. We did not bail him out (tried tough love approach) but someone he knows did. What is the likelihood that he will serve time? If the court awards damages, fines or restitution are we as parents responsible for these amounts? He snuck out during the night to commit these crimes.
