Guardianship

How Do I Create a Guardianship for an Adult in Delaware?
I am writing to request how to obtain formal legal guardianship for my sister who is mentally retarded, age 62. She is a Medicaid/Medicare recipient and receives SSDI. Our parents are deceased, and I am her only living next of kin (age 57) and have assumed all legal responsibilities for her health care and protection for several years now. My sister presently lives in a group home (CCL)which is under the auspices of the State of Delaware (DDDS). I erroneously thought my parents had legal documentation stating me as legal guardian. Presently, I have requested a release of her medical records, but I am unable to provide proof of my guardianship. Permission for anything regarding my sister's health and welfare, has been granted only through me and by me. I have been and wish to continue remaining in authority. Indeed, it goes without saying that I would also need to state a successor in the event of my death. I have previously been a POA for my parents and am familiar with those forms and the process, but haven't had luck finding forms regarding 'legal guardianship.' Your advice would be most appreciated.
What are the Duties of a Guardian of a Minor in New Jersey?
I have been the guardian for my niece and my nephew since Jun 07 when their mother was killed in a motorcycle accident. I am looking for specific information on my responsibilities/duties as I am working now with my lawyers to file my first accounting. I have taken on a huge role and it has affected my family (I have two young children also) but I am being scrutinized about how much I spend on bday parties and other things. Plus I am not taking any from the kids to perform this role. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
How Do I Terminate a Guardianship in Pennsylvania?
I am a grandparent and have had custody of my 17 year old granddaughter for the last 5 years. She is currently under probation intake on house arrest and also Children & Youth Services are involved. She is 8 weeks pregnant. I was told in the OB's office that at her age if she is pregnant, she is considered emancipated. The permanent custody decree was handed down in Superior Court, Alameda County, California. Neither my granddaughter nor her boyfriend who she is not allowed to see by her PO, have any means of supporting themselves (she is still in high school; he is 19 and has no job). She keeps breaking the probation rules and my house rules. Under what circumstances can she be emancipated? Would I have to file termination of guardianship papers in CA or PA?
How Do I Add My Granchild to My Insurance policy?
My pregnant daughter is living with us after leaving her fiance and she will be living here with us and the baby. We would like to offer her insurance for the baby in which case I need to become a legal guardian. First, does this mean she gives up her rights as a guardian, or can we both have legal guardianship as long as I have her sign a general power of attorney? which form do you suggest? Durable, general, medical, for the insurance purposes? Thanks!
