Is it possible to have a DUI conviction from 1992 expunged?
How can I expunge my domestic assault and simple assault records in RI?
I have 1 domestic assault from 1997 and 1 from 1998. I plead nolo to both. I also have a simple assault from 2004. That was a guilty. I need them off my record, I can't get a job with them. I am in RI. I've tried to expunge them myself but got nowhere. what do I do? I need to make them go away...from what I have read the AG's flunky is treating them like felonies, not misdemeanors. I need them sealed or expunged.... What do I do?
Can my expunged DUI arrest be disclosed in family court?
I had a DUI arrest in 1983. That record was subsequently expunged in 1997. A client who is trying to discredit me, got a copy of the arrest and expungement for her own personal interest and disclosed that information in open family court. She works for the sheriffs department as a clerical person and her sister in law is head of the court records department.I am quite sure this information was obtained in violation of some law. Am I correct?
Can I expunge a dismissed weapon possession arrest from my record?
In 1975 i was arrested for 'criminal possession of a weapon' I was Federal firearm dealer delivering a pistol to a client in Upstate New York. I was not in possession of a copy of my federal firearms license when arrested. The officer arrested me and allowed me to post bond so that I could obtain a copy of my license. I returned to the state police station and presented the copy of the license. The pistol was then returned to me and the charge was dismissed. Now i find that this 34 year old matter is causing me problems getting a Firearms ID card for the State of new Jersey. Can this arrest ans dismissal be removed from my permanent criminal record ?
Will a deferred adjudication show as a conviction on my boyfriend's record?
My boyfriend is on his 3rd DWI, the first one was when he was 19 and second in his 20s and now one at 39. They have lost all evidence and he submitted willingly to a blood test. For 10 months now, he's been going to court and having it dismissed. I should also mention he's been with the same job for 18 years and has full custody of his diabetic son. Today they came back and offered State Jail Conviction with 4 years deferred adjudication instead of a felony. My question is.. if his employer pulls up his record within the next four years, is this going to show as a conviction? Or will it show if he gets in any sort of trouble during the four years? They postponed court again till next week and he has to decide to take this offer or go to trial in hopes of getting something lower and keep from getting something that he could lose his job over. Since they didn't have the blood work, they are now pursuing evading arrest since the office followed him for a mile? I think this is crazy.. but really just need some advice as to what will show up on his record during the four years? Thanks.
