Drivers License

Can my brother's DWI arrest affect my case as a witness?
I was arrested for DWI in December walking into a bar. Now my brother just got a DWI while he was at work as a bartender when he moved a customers car 1 block to a municipal parking lot, something he has done for years as a service to those that are too impaired to move their car to overnight parking. This officer was involved in both arrests. My brother is one of my witnesses in my DWI. Is there any harassment or witness tampering cases to support. My case looks like it will be dismissed because of an illegal stop. We both refused a breath test.
How long must a person wait after a seizure to drive in Oregon?
An Oregon domiciled person 67 years old working overseas had his first (and hopefully last) epilectic seizure (full unconsciousness) two months ago and is on Dilantin medication indefinitely. If he doesn't ever have another seizure, how long must he wait before he can answer 'no' to the question on the Oregon drivers license renewal question of 'Do you have any physical or mental conditions or impairments that affect your ability to drive safely?' I have read that if two years pass without another seizure, then this question can be answered 'no'. Is this true? Is there somewhere in Oregon statutes that supports this 'two year' idea which comes from the URL below? http://www.epilepsyfoundation.org/living/wellness/transportation/drivinglaws.cfm In order to obtain a license, an individual who has suffered a loss of consciousness or physical control, or has had his or her ability to drive impaired within the last 2 years must supply a 'Certificate of Medical Eligibility' that the condition does not interfere with his or her ability to drive.
Can my son get a hardship permit to drive for work after license suspension?
My son moved from Calif to Az. I put him on my insurance. He bought a car. I did not know that my insurance didn't cover HIS new car. I thought it covered him no matter which car he was driving. In Ca. the car lic plate goes on the front and back. He only got 1 plate with the car and he put it on the front. He got pulled over for no lic plate. They asked to see his insurance which was not valid. He was afraid to tell me so he did not respond to the ticket. Finally I said why aren't you working. Then he told me but by now they had turned it over to collections AND suspended his driving lic.We wrote the court asked for a fine reduction and or to make payments. We explained what happened and he has current insurance on HIS car. They charged him $200 for not having the plate on the back of the car and $1,194.68 for no insurance. This was his first offence. He is a Limousine driver and has done that for 6 yrs.We also asked the court for a permit so he can drive to earn money to pay the fee. We were not aware that they turned it over to collections and said he can not get a permit to drive (even tho that is his life line and only income) even if it is to pay the fine off. They will not reduce it. They will allow him to make FULL payment of $1394.68 in partial payments or a full payment and THEN they will reinstate his driver lic.If his job depends on him being able to drive and they won't allow him to drive how can he pay the fine? He has no other violations. No DUI no drug This was not a moving violation. The courts will not do anything we have written them twice. Can he get a a 'Hardship' permit to drive to make money to pay this fine and just to live so he won't be in the streets. They said it went to collections because he did not go to court.
How can I obtain a New Jersey driver's license after a suspension?
I just returned to New Jersey from Georgia where I lived for the past 25 years. While there, I managed to get my drivers license suspended for 5 years due to 3 drug possessions within a certain time frame. That suspension is over April 21, 2011. I passed the written test (because my Jersey license expired), paid off some old tickets on my Jersey license from the 80's, and paid the restoration fee. How can I get a Jersey license? Can I get a hardship license on the Georgia license that New Jersey would honor, do I get a hardship license here, or do I transfer Georgia? There must be some way to get, at minimum, a license so I can get back and forth to work.
