Can I dispute a check where tenant wrote payment in full on the check payment?
If a client writes a payment in full on a payment check, is there any way to cash it and still dispute the amount. Client crossed out - beach house July-Aug 2008 and wrote payment in full all months. Any way to dispute this if this goes to court and we cash the check?
Can the contractor be charged with theft by deception for cashing both checks?
I issued a check to some one and realized it would not be honored by my Bank. I immediately contacted the person and sent them a replacement check drawn from another bank. This individual cashed both checks because the first bank transferred funds from my credit card to cover the check. The individual now refuses to pay my money back. This was a contractor who was working on my home. Can this individual be charged with Theft by Deception

What should I do about a debt summons after paying a loan?
5 years ago I did one of those quick loans, the amount was 350.00. yesterday I received the keys to my new home that I worked for years to clean my credit up . 2 hours after, a summons was delivered; saying I owed 13,500.00 - cost and fees, because I didn't pay. I did pay but have long since thrown away any papers. What can I do?
