Am I liable for impound fees on a gifted vehicle?
A vehicle was gifted to me by registered owner on 3/19/06. The registered owner stated the vehicle only needed new battery. I replaced battery but car wouldn't hold charge and battery would run out in 30 minutes. Could not keep vehicle running in order to transfer vehicle in my name within 15 days of sale. On 9/17/06 I gifted the car to a worker cutting trees for us who said he could fix the car and get the vehicle transferred in his name. I gave him bill of sale and title and he took the vehicle, never to be heard from again. I only have his name and phone number of a relative that may not be good anymore. On 11/25/09 I received a Notice of Vehicle Impound from the State of WA Dept of Licensing. I am listed as the owner of record and there was a $225 impound fee with a daily rate of $50. Am I really liable for this vehicle? Should I report it stolen the aforementioned person?
Do I have to pay a pledge after being terminated without cause?
I was hired for a professional position; moved to state, gave up a secure position, purchased home which is now significantly devalued. I was terminated 'without cause'. They are now trying to enforce a foundation pledge I made using payroll deduction. I made payroll deduction pledge with the assumption it was a 'payroll deduction' and that I would remain employed. Form I signed was a simple piece of paper with no direction that this would continue even if employment ended. Do I have to pay this? Is a case for promissory estoppel against them with detrimental reliance possible?
Am I protected if the gas agreement lacks a written price?
I am in process to buy a B.P. gas station, but the supply gas agreement will not write the rack plus price in the contract. They want me to trust them, that they will give me the best dealer price. By doing that am I protected if they over charged me on the price? Or not and if so how.

Can I return my Marriott timeshare to avoid maintenance fees?
I own a Marriott timeshare in Colorado and can no longer afford to pay the annual maintenance fees. The timeshare hasn't been used in probably 10 years, during most of which time my husband was disabled by a stroke. I'm a 70 year old widow and when my husband died almost 2 years ago, so did my income. I've been unable to sell or even give this timeshare away. Can I legally just give it back to Marriott and get out from under this impossible debt?
