Cohabitation

My fiance lived with me for a year. I put him out of my home that I own due to his drinking. We never claimed to be husband/wife, filed taxes jointly or entered into a legal contract together. So I don't think we fall into common law for Alabama. He does owe me $1,242 for bills and misc. That would be for half the utility bills and then other things. When we lived together he gave me $1000 a month for the bills. So my question is his belongings are in my home. Can I keep them for the money he owes me? What's in my home is clothes, bedroom suite, 2 televisions and then personal belongings.

My girlfriend and I have lived together for about 7 years . I bought a house about 3 years ago that I own. She is out of town and I don't want her to come back can I legally change the locks and evict her? She does not pay rent.

We are preparing to file for an uncontested divorce based on irreconcilable differences in our home state of Mississippi. Our question is in reference to Mississippi legal requirements regarding separation prior to obtaining the divorce. We have lived separately in the same house we own, occupying separate bed rooms and NOT cohabiting sexually for years. Q. Would both of us living separately under the same roof prevent the divorce from being granted?

I have cohabitated with a woman for 17 yrs and we have a 17 yr old daughter. We have never planned on marriage and i want to know if she has any claims on my home and land. Also, how do i make her move out? The land is family land and I built the home and it has a mortgage that I pay. Thank you.

Recently my fathers , girlfriend of 26 years, has up and left him. She notified me that her and Donn, were moving back to Wisconsin. After talking to my dad, they never had this conversation. She is currently at her residence here and left my 81 year old dad at the property and residence there. They have bought many items while together and this property was always in her name. My dad is very hard of hearing, and she didn't want to deal with that in loan apps etc. My fathers social security check is better than twice , that of hers. Both their ss checks went into a joint account, for the 26 years. Again all the boat titles, cars, trucks and property are in her name , 99.9 percent sure of that. I have started a new account for my dad, and had his ss. check deposited there. She has since threatened to evict him from the property. He has done all the improvements to this site,ran the electric, lot clearing, etc. Its a heck of a mess!!!!!!!! She has offered it to him for $80,000 and I believe market value is $35,000 What are you're thoughts. They have lived in Texas for 7 years, and prior to that in Wisconsin .She has worn a wedding band for all these years, till recently.
