Cohabitation
What are my rights if my boyfriend leaves after 23 years?
I have been with my boyfriend now for 23 years. We have 2 children, a home (that I keep clean )! I do everything. I clean, cook, wash, dinner, tend to the kids etc. We have lived together now for 13 years. If he decides to leave us one day what exactly am I entitled to? The house we live in is in his name, however we shopped together for the home. I'm a stay home mom and he takes care of the bills. A ring was given to me about 5 yrs ago as an engagement but no date was ever set for us to get married. Can he say he never lived with us because he does own a small place in the city, and get away with that? I need to know what my rights are, and do I have any?

Can he legally evict his partner from his house?
I have a friend who has a live in partner for 2 years now. They have a son together and live in his home. Things are getting out of hand and the relationship is getting bad. He was asking his live in partner to leave his house, but she refused to leave. Is there any legal action that he can do to make her leave his house since she doesn't want to leave voluntarily?
Does my mother have rights if her partner dies?
My Mother has been living with a gentleman for twenty-five years. They planned on getting married, but never did. He is now very ill in the hospital, and I am concerned if my mother has any rights. Her companion owns the home that they have shared for all these years and one of the questions I wanted answered was does she have any rights or could she be thrown out in the streets in the event of his death, heaven forbid.
