Where can I find a list of all the civil 'causes of action' which would be acceptable to Federal Court in Virginia, in the filing of a complaint there? Also, in Virginia, does 'Fraud' include making promises about the future with no intent to keep them, or does Fraud in VA refer only to statements about objects eg. provenance of art works etc.?

We are being sued by a collection agency for medical bills, and need to file a motion to respond to being served, (within 30 days)

Here are my situation, Recently I received court order for credit card I owed from capital one .The credit card amount was $2,867.00 for this reason, I suppose to be appear in the court on June 17/2009,but I was away from the city for a a month, now my fear is if I present my self in the court , the court might be put me in the prison for not showing my self on court appearance day. would you give me any legal advice how I can solve this problem in a legal matter?

Six months ago my in-laws terminated a lifelease in Wisconsin and were due back (two months ago) approx. $100,000 from the complex/non-profit corporation. What do think would be fair to ask in interest and penalties on the money due us?

I understand that you can't sue the state but is there anything preventing a citizen of the United States from filing a civil lawsuit against the FBI?
