A worker filed a (false) accident report against me at work. She claimed I bumped her stomach, she was 4 months pregnant, with the back of my chair, waited 26 hours and file a workman's comp. accident report. I was sent for a drug test which proved nothing. However, the stress caused my migraines to increase and I had to take 7 days of my vacation plus another 21 days short term disability. The mother of this girl told her 8 year old son (the girls half brother) I tried to deliberately kill the baby. This boy told repeated these words to my two twin grandchildren ages 11. I have since had to resign my position as assistant manager at the location I was working and take a lower position at another location. Can I sue this woman for slander?

I am seeking assistance on behalf of a friend who has decided to file a malpractice case against her surgeon due to paralysis on her face and life long treatments. Her statue of limitations will expire tomorrow on 4/28/2010 and she was encouraged to file the complaint herself in court by her specialist. The problem is we don't know what form to use. I have looked at several sites about the form, but all pertained to forms after representation of an atty. Unfortunately, lots of attorneys' office said she has a valid case to pursue, but no one can look at her case to file the complaint in court by tomorrow. Please provide assistance as to what form to use to file the medical complaint or at least direct us to the site and we will download the forms ourselves. I had a case, where attorney referred to me as litigation crazed, credit worthless and misinterpreting american dreams and american justice system and alleged extortion. We lost in trial. Appeal court reversed trial for attorney's alleged misconduct during trial of improper jury argument using terrorism, extortion, and citing criminal references in commercial dispute.I am to file attorney misconduct to this third party non-client attorney, can I sue this attorney for abusing me with discrimination inside and outside court in a civil suit? Please advice.

My husband, an American citizen, died on December 16, 2008 here in Switzerland. While he and his brother, a resident of California, had no contact anymore - due to a family dispute over the last will of their mother - my late husband's brother just recently found out about his brothers death. In January of this year I have been contacted by e-mail by him and his son. I ignored these contacts until April 19th. In this latest mail, my brother in law accuses my husband as thief, stealing family mementos and demanding me to turn them over to him. While he clearly never wanted to confront his living brother with this outrages defamation, he now steps forward to slander my husband's honorableness and reputation. It goes without saying that neither my husband, nor I ever had possession over the item in question. I can not just sit here in Switzerland and do nothing to protect my husband's legacy. Please advice me how to file an action for slander in Orange County, California. I also would be very grateful if you could recommend a trustworthy legal adviser who might be willing to assist me.
