Can my partner's money be taken if I file bankruptcy alone?
IF YOU ARE MARRIED AND FILE SINGLE BANKRUPTCY, CAN YOUR PARTNER'S MONEY BE TAKEN FOR BILLS THAT THEY ARE NOT NAMED ON? HOW MUCH MONEY CAN THEY HAVE? WOULD FILING CHAPTER 13 KEEP THEM FROM HAVING ANYTHING TAKEN FROM THEM?
What is a motion to cram-down and the purpose of pre-trials?
What is a "motion to cram-down"? Also, what is the purpose of multi pre-trials? Our builder is in bankruptcy and we have gotten copies of notices that state "motion to cram-down" and we are not familiar with this term. Also, our builder is facing a trial, but up until now, he has had several "pre-trials" which do not seem to amount to much. Tried researching both with no luck.

I am considering letting my house go into foreclosure and filling for debt relief or bankruptcy. My concern is that my name is on my 90 year old grandmothers condo title, bank accounts and investments. Could lenders/creditors go after her assets to obtain payment? All of her assets are held jointly with her, my cousin and my self.
