Abandoned Property

My tenant vacated the rental premises I own in Augusta. While vacating, he told me I could trash all the personal stuff he had left behind. I am still apprehensive about and haven't done as yet. Can I be held accountable if at all he changes his mind after I have destroyed the property?

I received a writ of repossession for a mobile home I leased for nearly 15 years a year ago. The mobile remains on my private property (owned and free of debt...the land). Since the mortgage company has not removed the mobile home from my land, is this considered abandoned property and/or can I charge storage fees...? What is the process to claim abandoned property, if applicable? Fyi payments were made, but several sent back to collect more money at once after being late. Thanks.

My neighbor was physically attacked by a guy. This guy left his car in my garden area. This car seems to be a stolen car. Can I call the police and get it removed now without trying to locate the owner or lien holder. I really don’t feel safe to be having this car in my private property. Please help.

My boyfriend and I had kept some personal items in a safe deposit when we were dating. After our breakup, I asked my boyfriend to take his things away from the safe deposit, as I was the sole person paying for the safe deposit. He never responded to my reminders. Now after 3 years he has come back to get his things back. Isn't his property abandoned? Can I refuse to give his things to him presuming it to have been abandoned by him?

My tenant was never regular in paying rent. He often used to clear his arears after four –five months. This time he has been away from the rental house for more than 6 months and has not paid a penny for all the six months. Can I call this abandonment of rental house by my tenant and throw away all his belongings so that I can rent out the house to some other tenant?
