FAQs

Before a baby is born, paternity can be established through genetic testing of the parents, such as prenatal paternity tests. These tests involve taking samples from the mother and potential father, usually through a blood draw or cheek swab. However, the most reliable way to confirm paternity is through a DNA test after the child is born.
