What are the requirements to become emancipated?

Full question:

I am a 16 year old girl. I will be 17 in a couple of weeks. I was put into foster care when I was 13 and around the time I was 15 I did PLC with a foster family. I currently have a job and have numerous safe and healthy enviroments to stay for as long as needed. I am a junior and I have a gpa of 3.6. I think that the best thing for me would be to get out of the system and continue to acheive my goals such as planning for college. I plan to attend for education. Some of my other goals are to reunite with my biological family. I was wondering what PA laws say about a case like mine and what I would have to do to complete this process and its requirements.

In Pennsylvania, youth typically age out of foster care at 18. However, if you are 17 and feel prepared to transition out, you may have options. It's essential to discuss your situation with your caseworker, who can guide you through the process and any necessary steps for emancipation.
