Is there a statute of limitations for a will to be settled in Texas? A parent passed over a year ago and the three children (all living and willed equal parts of assets) have not settled the will as of yet. How long do they have to settle the will?

My Grandpa and Grandma put my name on the deed to their farm in 1985. They do not owe anything on the farm. My Grandma has been on Medicaid for 9 years and has been living in a nursing home. My Grandpa passed away last year and now my Grandma just passed away. I need to know what rights I have to the farm? They left no will. Can the state take the farm?

What is the meaning of co executor and would both executors have to sign to make all documents legal pertaining to someones estate?

My dad passed away in October and the estate has been opened since 11/26, I have not heard anything from my step-mothers lawyer as of yet. She tells me that everything is hers except the stocks. Should his personal property be included? Items such as jewelry, tools, farm equipment and live stock. They had a quilt shop together. The land around the house was on land contract, I just want to be fair and would like some personal items of my dads.

A man with no children gets married to woman who has two teenage children of her own. The man has property of his own that has been in his family for years and his parents are still living. Suddenly, the man and woman both die in a car accident. Survivors include the woman’s two teenage children and the man’s parents. Who would get man’s property? Does the law protect Man’s family from loosing their property to non-linear children who have no ties to it and would sell it or do you somehow have to write this in your will or prenuptial agreement?
