Once paternity is legally established through DNA testing, can the mother keep the paternal fathers name off the birth certificate? The father is known and does not disagree that he is the birth father.

My ex is a two-time convicted pedophile who will be released from prison in August. What are his rights to a daughter he has never helped raise or paid child support for, and gave up his parental rights to in our divorce? We live in New Mexico, he in California.

Unwed father and mother have a child. Father's name on the birth certificate. Raises child as own for 4.5 years. Files for custody. Mother tells judge he is the father, then tells father to get paternity test. Non-legal PT done. Not father. Father wants to raise child, due to neglectful mother. Judge gives tempory custody to father. Is father obligated to tell lawyer about the PT test and the judge?

My daughter is 8 years old and her father and I established paternity in 2001 by voluntary means (we were never married and he never requested a paternity test). At the current time, we have joint custody and he is trying to get full custody of her. However, I have a 6 month old son who only recently came to my knowledge that his father could very likely be my daughters father as well. I was told by this man that he could never have children; however, we found out that was not true due to the birth of my son. My question is what is the law of Indiana regarding revoking paternity and how do I go about requesting a paternity test from the assumed father. He would never agree to it and would probably have to be court ordered. The assumed father and I also have a modification custody and support hearing in August 2009 and I'm wondering if I should bring this up before then?

My ex boyfriend had manipulated me into having sex with him few times in the past month. He asked me to help him on his homework at his house, then had forced me to had sex with him. I was traumatized after the break up because I am still emotionally attached to him. He takes advantage of me and used me for homework and sex. I tested positive for pregnancy. I should be around 3 weeks pregnant. I am 21. I told him about the pregnancy and he tells me I have to get an abortion, and he yells at me tells me to leave him alone. I have a Christian background and abortion is not a choice I want to make. What are the legal actions I could take at this point?
