Does a 15-year-old have a say in visitation with her father?
My sister recently passed away leaving her fifteen year old daughter, my niece. Now our mother, the 15 year old's grandmother, has petitioned for custody although the father has appeared to claim parental rights to have visitation with the teen. The teen however does not know this man as the parents were never married and has NO desire to spend time with this man. Does she have the right at her age to have any say to the time she spend with him. Also, we are considering having her petition for "emancipated minor" status as a means to liberate her from forced visitation. What are Ohio laws on obtaining this status?
Am I responsible for my daughter if she moves in with her boyfriend?
I live in the state of Florida. My 16 year old daughter (soon to be 17, already graduated High School) wishes to live with the boyfriend and his mother. Am I still responsible for her? What kind of trouble could I get in if I allowed her to go?

Will I still receive survivor benefits if I get emancipated?
I am seventeen years old and am currently living with my parents. I am graduating from high school this year (a year early) and I'm considering filing for emancipation. I receive survivor benifits and my question is this, if I become emancipated will I still receive my survivor benifits. My mother and step father and very controling and some times abusive and won't take legal action if I leave but refuse to give up my survivor benifits. Can I force them to give them to me.
