Landlord Tenant
Do I have to pay the penalities for early lease termination if I'm being military transferred?
My husband is active duty with the Coast Guard. We signed a 13 month lease with one month free rent. We are getting ready to have a baby and need 3 rooms and my husband is transferring from his land station to the boat. We are in the process of transferring to military lease housing. Our lease is up on July 31st but we need to move sooner than that, June 1st. Our property manager said we would have to pay a buy out of 1 months rent plus repay the one month free rent, if they are able to rent the property for our remaining time. If they do not rent it, we are responsible for paying the last 2 months rent plus repaying the free months rent. There is nothing in our lease that says if we move out early we must repay the free months rent. With being in the military, is there any thing we can do to avoid the penalties of terminating our lease early or to minimize to costs?

What is the State Developement Fee on Tenants?
After expanding my store via the store next to me, and paying for the necessary permits, etc., the borough asked me to pay an additional $30.00 for a State Developement Fee on Tenants Fit-Out. What is that? And why must I pay it?
