Death

I live in NYC my mother died in Florida in 2000 leaving about 2300.00 in an account. One of my two brothers was made executor of the estate. I believe the will divides all property 3 ways presumably making all three of us rightful heirs. Both of my brothers have since died. What the bank requires to release the funds to me is court order naming me sole heir. What do I do?

In the state of new jersey. My father's ashes are buried in a cemetery. I wanted to exhume his ashes. the cemetery people said I needed a court order and also were not very helpful and the local funeral home didn't even want to help either, I even afford to pay them..could any one help me?

My aunt disappeared from her Oregon coast home on 01/22/09. To date, her disappearance is still a mystery. On the morning that she left, the sheriff, K-9 unit and Coast Guard could find no trace of her. She was clad in just pajamas and carried no identification. She suffered from dementia and would be 92 years old in March. The question being when is a person in this situation considered to be legally deceased and a death certificate issued?

How long before a family will get a death certificate for missing person in the state of Florida?

My brother and his girlfriend built a house together. There is no equity in the house, there are 2 mortgages on the place. My brother died without a will, however I am his beneficiary on his insurance policy. Am I legally obligated to pay off his half of the mortgage?
