I am partners with another person in a corporation. I am the President. My partner wants to purchase another truck and expand the business and I do not wish to because we are losing money. I was told that all I had to do was to write a Letter of Resignation and that would make it to where I am no longer liable for any debts that the business may come into. My partner is going to change the loan for the equipment into his name only. Is this correct?

Is it legal for a non-profit organization to cut staff salaries 20% and then ask staff to pay for there own insurance?

We are wanting to protect a farm against lawsuits as a result against either my husband or me. We have businesses that are S-corps and would like to set things up that one child only would inherit the farm upon both or our deaths and not have to go through probate. So are we looking at an incorporation or trust or something else?

What are the references and pages of the appropriate California legislation that says 'Incorporated' and 'Inc.' are equivalents?

We are changing the name of our church. We were told that the best thing to do is just keep the original name and function with the new name under a DBA. What would you advise?
