Can we get a refund for a defective vehicle purchased recently?
My son and I purchased a vehicle less than a week ago (on 24 Feb) from a seller. The vehicle has 160K miles with no warranty. On the day of purchase, we picked the vehicle up and went directly to National Tire and Battery to have them adjust the alignment and perform an inspection of the engine. The technician on duty stated that the vehicle could not be properly aligned and that there was an undetectable oil leak. He also, told us that the radiator was empty. I immediately called the seller and told him about the problems. He instructed us to return the vehicle. The technician topped off the engine oil and radiator with fluids. On the way back to the seller's location, the vehicle's radiator blew up and the car died about 8 miles from the seller's location. The vehicle had been driven approximately 40 miles before it died. When I called the seller, he tried to say that we had done something to the vehicle, because it was running fine previously and refused to give our money back. The next day, the seller had the vehicle picked up and towed to his mechanic's location. The radiator was replaced and the dealer dropped the vehicle off at my house unannounced on February 26. We did not receive any transfer paperwork and the dealer refuses to answer my phone calls. Is it possible for us to get a refund for this vehicle?
Do we owe the former owner's trainer for the dog's service training?
I placed an ad on an internet site asking anyone having a dog that needs a loving home contact us. We were contacted by a person who was looking for a place for her dog. A few days later, we met at a groomer to see him. He was exactly what we'd been hoping for. They had brought all of the dog's belongings and we took him home when the groomer was done. I gave her $160 in cash to allow her kids to get a new pet. They wanted the dog to have a better home and freedom to run. She had mentioned she had been taking the dog to classes to become a service dog, but not to worry she'd take care of all of that and that the dog was ours. The first thing we did was get him licensed and have an ID chip put in. Neither had been done as far as I could see. We've had the dog since before Thanksgiving. I don't know what had gone on between the previous owner and the trainer, but I received a call from the trainer threatening to take us to court if we didn't sign a new contract and complete the dogs training for a service dog. We had intended to finish his training, but at a location and classes that agreed with our schedules. I don't see where we owe the former owner's trainer anything, or that they have any right to the dog. We've had him four months now. Why now? I hope I've given you the information you need to advise me.
Can my employer withhold my pay until the builder pays their bill?
I work for a company that sells appliances to customers and builders. A big company bought a huge amount of appliances for a condo project and management had them on a credit line. I was paid as normal on those sales like all other sales. After about half the appliances had been shipped to the same job, the rest of the order was due to ship and my employer calls me into his office and says he won't pay me on the rest until the builder pays the entire bill as they were slow on paying. Then he ships the order to the customer, still on credit. It turns out that the builder has had a hard time selling the condos and is paying so slow that they still owe the employer a lot of money. My question is, can he not pay me like this? Am I out of luck here or can I sue him for the $7400 in pay he owes me as it was his decision to offer them credit not mine.
How can I terminate my real estate purchase offer due to liens?

Is it illegal for a Realtor to sell a condo for more after a contract?
I purchased a condo from a Realtor who had that condo under contract only to turn around and sell the condo for more. She only offered me 2 of 50 condos that were for sale. I closed on it and I dislike it greatly. I paid too much for it. Is what she did illegal? Can I prove what the Realtor did was only for her personal gain and how can I prove that she steered me into 916?
