What recourse do I have against the company that sold me a faulty water purification system?
We purchased a water purifying system in Oct 06 and it has never worked. We have had numerous service calls over this period and it has just not worked. The company we purchased it from has been very difficult to work with: ex. not return calls, misrepresented product, repairmen not showing up, etc. Anyhow, the company we financed this through is wanting paid. It has been in their dispute dept., but fees are adding up. Do I have any legal recourse against the company we purchased the system from?
Is there any recourse for poor business practice by a company?
The other day I changed cell phone services. I was entitled to a discount through my employer and I was quoted a price the week before by a salesman. I agreed, and picked out the phones for myself and my family. When I went to pick them up and active my service I was hurried through the process very quickly and before I knew it my phones were activated and my other service was terminated. I was then given the cost of the activation fee, prorated bills and taxes due. None of this was disclosed by the original salesman or the individual activating my phone prior to signing the 2 yr contract. When I inquired about the discount from my employer I was told it would not be applied for another month or two and was not retroactive therefore it did not apply to the current charges. Also, there was a one month promotional service activated on the phones that required a phone call to the cmpany to terminate. That was another detail left out. I found this to be a very poor business practice and I am very upset at the company. Is there any recourse?
