Can I charge my employer cost related to illness received from uniform at work?
I have recieved Scabies from work, and need to know, can I bill them for having to wash all my clothes, blankets and fabric materials? I was not told that the costume I would be wearing had scabies, and then when I reported it, they just turned the other way, and said sorry. Then left. I can't afford to have everything cleaned, and that is the only way I can get rid of the scabies is by treating myself after all my laundry and fabric items are cleaned.

We have a business/family issue. This business was setup as an LLC. The owners of the business are Mother, Father (deceased 2006), oldest son, and youngest son. The middle son is a employee charged with locating business, purchasing materials, and providing service but is not a partner (member) in the business. The Mother tried to keep the business going until approximately November of 2006 when the decision to terminate the business was made. At that point no further jobs from new customers or existing ones were taken and no further purchases from the suppliers were authorized. At that time, the middle son was fired for theft of business property. On Tuesday May 1, 2007, the property owner where the business resided contacted the Mother to inform her that there was a lot of mail he was holding. When the mail was received, we found that the middle son had been purchasing materials from some suppliers against the accounts the business had set up for him. We went to the local police department and they told us there was no case because the companies he made the purchases through were in a different city and we needed to contact that city. I called and spoke with a detective in the fraud department where I was informed that we could not file a complaint against him because he did not steal anything from us. The companies from whom he made the purchases would have to be the ones to file a complaint. Is this correct? Won’t the companies feel that our business is the liable party even though we have closed the business and it has no money. Are we liable? Can we press charges against the son and what type of charges would they be?
What are my options if the finance company illegally repossessed my car?
On Friday my car was repossessed. I have proof of all of my car payments and receipts. I also have proof of insurance. When the car was repossessed it was at a friends house that I was staying with. I was not there at the time. I was visiting my parents. My friend gave the repo company the phone number of my parents, and the company called me at my parents’ house. First they spoke with my mother who did not realize I was at her house. When she did realize that I was there she told me they called and gave me a number to call them back. I called them back and they told me that if I could prove I made my payments and do it before the flat bed arrived, they would park my car locally and I would not have to pay the $250.00 fee. I got all my proof of payments and arrived before the flat bed. They told me they had to take the car but they would park it locally and that I would not have to pay the fee as long as I contacted the finance company on Monday to get this settled. I called the finance company on Monday and they informed that my car was 60 miles away and that I had to pay the fee; they also informed me that If I did not get my car soon (with in a week) there would be a $5000.00 storage fee and that my car would go to auction. All of my car payments were direct deposited into the finance companies’ bank account and the bank faxed receipts to them. The finance company says they did not get any faxes from me for the month of April. I do not know what to do now.

Can the loan company take my property with the Civil Consent Judgment I signed?
I defaulted on an unsecured signature loan and after several attempts to arrange payment arrangements with the finance company I was finally sued for $10,000 last fall. I hired an attorney who continued to try negotiations with the company with no success. I looked at bankruptcy but that did not work out. I finally ran out of cash to pay my attorney to continue; so, the suggestion was made that I enter into a Civil Consent Judgment and all would be over. I figured out as Head of Household I could only get 10% of my wage garnished. I felt I could live with that so I signed. Now I am hearing horror stories of banks that have grabbed bank accounts, cars, property etc. No equity to speak of in my home and wife and I own 2 used cars best one of the two is worth around $3,000. What can I expect as the next step besides the garnishment? We can't lose our cars and I don't want furniture being carried out by a Sheriff, etc. I am really sick with worry! Now, I wonder if I should have signed this? I had a court date set; but now with documents I signed, I wonder if it will still go to court. And, if so, should I at least be there?
