I need to learn how to put a lien on a oil and gas production company.

How are the defendants in a Wrongful Death suit notified of same?

I wish to file a Wrongful Death suit regarding my son's death as a result of an accidental drug overdose. Is it necessary that I be appointed his personal representative in order to do so?

Back in 2002 I had an account that was charged off. Last activity was in mid September 2002. In October 2006 I was served by a company that I had no idea who it was, had never been contacted, etc. I Responded in November 2006 to court. I Heard nothing from anyone until 25 February with letter that's on docket for dismissal. March 19 I got copy of the letter from their attorney asking court for motion to retain. Texax statute of limitations is 4 years. It was 4 years when they filed suit, now over 2 years 4 months after that they want to retain. They have never contacted me via phone, email or letter, except the summons and this copy of letter to retain. What do I do now? Account is not on credit report at all. I am at a loss as to what to. I am retired on fixed income, have no clue if this is valid or what. They didn't provide exhibits as stated in the summons, not even to the court, I asked.

What are the requirements for a plaintiff to bring a successful lawsuit against a defendant and which court/s can the lawsuit be heard?
