What do I need to sign over land deed and be free of mortgage?
Built a house on my property,with out a lien on deed, we have defaulted on the loan, they want us to sign over the land deed over to them and we will be free of the mortgage? What do I need from them to be clear of this, with out giving my land and they pull a fast one and still owe the mortgage. They say we don't want a lawyer involved my wife and I are retired Srs, we are afraid to act with out advice.
May an alias summons be used in Illinois to sue the correctly named defendants?
We are currently suing a nursing home. The original defendants will be dismissed off of the case on the next hearing because they are the incorrect party. The next hearing will also involve us submitting an Alias Summons to the correct parties. Our question is: do we need to include the original defendant on the alias summons even though the original defendant will be dismissed?

We received summons 'you are being sued by Plaintiff Leaf Funding, Inc., a Delaware corporation filed in Superior Court of California, County of San Diego, Central Division. (?) I'm looking for the proper legal form to a file a response to the summons. Which gives me only 30 days from the receipt of the this summons.
What are the Remedies for Defamation in Idaho?
I am being slandered and defamed by emails by an individual who is forwarding copies simultaneously to multiple 'other' individuals defaming me in a spurious manner. The latest example is one of 20 other such emails in the past 4 months. I have made a formal (archived) request for her to remove my name from her 'group' email address book and she continues the barrage. Specifically I would like to know two things: 1) Does case law exist for me to cite in preparing preparing a law suit? 2) Is this behavior actionable and on what basis, 3) what are the penalties for her for non-compliance and in what time frame must she cease and desist before I file an action.
How can voicemails be used as evidence in court?
How does a person get a voicemail message that was left on a cell phone, turned into submissable written evidence? Is there a way to legally get the voicemail transcribed into writing?
