Should I handle a wrongful death suit myself or hire an attorney?

Full question:

My son passed away in a jail. I am taking on the case myself pro se. They were in the wrong. There was no doctor or nurse at the jail at all, the hospital was 1min 15 seconds away. It still took them 45 minutes before they got him there. By that time he was already gone. I filed with the courts and it was granted. What are my chances of taking this case on pro se?

Answer:

You state that you "filed with the courts and it was granted."; We presume that you mean the court granted you permission to file pro se.

FAQs

Pro se is a Latin term meaning 'for oneself.' In legal terms, it refers to individuals who represent themselves in court without an attorney. This can be challenging, as navigating legal procedures and requirements requires a good understanding of the law.
