Full question:
With a notice to quite am I required to keep paying rent
- Category: Landlord Tenant
- Date:
- State: New York
Answer:
You are still liable for rent as long as you stay there even though the landlord is seeking an eviction. You still pay rent if you are getting evicted. You would also still pay rent after a 30 day notice. Or even if a 60 day notice applies you would still pay rent after a 60 day notice. An eviction proceeding does not relieve you from paying rent. This content is for informational purposes only and is not legal advice.
