Does inheriting a home also include its contents?
My husbands parents passed away and left him their home, does this mean all the contents in the home are his? There was no will. They just had his name on the home so it was to go to him if anything happened to them.
Can I leave money to my sisters in a will for widows with adult children?
If I use the will for Widows with Adult Children, can I also leave money to my sisters?
Does my husband's property pass to me or his brother after his death?
My husband recently passed away, my question is this. Him and his brother were owners of a piece of property in Virginia. The deed reads 1 half to each and it says nothing about suriviors. Does his part fall to me or does it fall back to his brother and also would his daughter have any claim in it. She is my stepdaughter.
Can the trustee deduct social security from Virginia's trust distribution?
THE WILL states that Virginia is to get 1/4 of all of the residuary estate which is ($1,760,457.54) Virginia's share was ($440,114.38) Second Codicil (Article IV 4.1 (c-1) States that the trustee is to provide for reasonable support, apportioning their share of the trust funds so that it will provide them with the standard of living to which they were accustomed prior to my death. However, the trustee, in his sole and unrestricted discretion, shall withhold distribution of trust funds to my son and/or daughter IF, in the opinion of my trustee, the funds are being squandered, wasted, misappropriated, or used to be the detriment of their well-being. On (07/29/2008) Virginia did submit her cost of living $3,009.00 per. month. and was denied. (3) The trustee states that he is approving $2894.00 per. month of the $3,009 However he deducted $1,223.00 she is receiving from social security, leaving a total of $1671.00 per. month for her cost of living CAN HE DO THIS
What happens to jointly owned property upon my death?
could you interpret this passage in a will It says if at the time of my death I am the owner joint owner of any real estate which is registered or issued in the names of myselfand another person or persons as tenants by the entirety or as joint tenants with right of survivorship or which is registered or issue in my name but is payable to or apparently payable to a named beneficiary on my death I declare it to be my intention that all my right title and interest in any such property shall immediately pass to the joint owner co-owner or beneficiary named in any such property whether or not my right title or interest in any such property would by operation of law upon my death vest in or pass to such surviving person. I make this provision in order to eliminate any doubt or question as to the right of any such person apparently entitled thereto to succeed to the full possession and ownership of such property upon my death
