What Can I Do About A Tax Relief Company that Failed to Act as Promised?
I retained Power Tax Relief to assist me in dealing with several overdue taxes with the IRS and state of Virginia. They have not been responsive and I believe they have caused me irreperable damage with the IRS. They have been extremely negligent and I don't believe that they are dealing with the IRS on our behalf. We are forbidden to contact the IRS by the terms of our agreement with Power Tax Relief. Is there a legal forum that we can contact to seek relief and possibly damages against the Power Tax Relief?
What remedies are available for a loan given to ex-daughter in law when they get divorced?
2 years ago, at the request of my daughter-in-law, we foolishly took out a mortgage on our home and lent her $70,000. She used this money to pay off her student loans and her and my son have been paying us back $500.00 a month. While son was in Iraq his wife had an affair and divorced my son. The Colorado arbitrator has determined that my son will pay back half of the loan and has allowed her a 2 year different. How can they allow a different on a personal loan? How can they make my son pay for 1/2 of a loan she incurred before they were married? We live in Maryland. I don't know what court to go to to sue her for our money. Can the courts make her take out a loan and pay us back?

Is a Child Responsible to Pay a Parent's Debts When They Die?
I am my Fathers Beneficiary of Estate and accounts etc. In the event of his death, can I be held liable for his medical debts to the hospital etc, for any amount that they may be. I don't want to lose his home to cover his debts left behind, but most of all have to refinance my home as well to cover it.
