Full question:
Im 15 and I can no longer get along with my parents. I dont see them as "parents" anymore because I don't feel they treat me like a child, so I "rebel" against their rules and go my own way. I do not have a job, but would the fact that I don't listen to them, and I don't have a job change the judge's mind? Also, what if I have someone who has agreed that if I was legally emancipated, would take me in or adopt me. Could that sway the court to go my way?

Answer:
In Nebraska, emancipation depends on the specific circumstances of each case. Emancipation is defined as freeing a child from parental care, custody, and control. Simply moving out temporarily does not qualify as emancipation if the child is still supported by a parent.
Emancipation can be established through evidence or implied by the actions of the parties involved. It occurs when a parent renounces their legal duties and rights over the child, either partially or completely, and this can be either expressed or implied.
Having someone willing to take you in or adopt you may influence the court's decision, but the overall circumstances will be considered. The judge will look at your ability to support yourself and your relationship with your parents.
