If a minor leaves home with parents permission who is obligated to support this minor financially?

Full question:

My daughter has a minor friend who is seeking to move out of her mothers home, her mother said she is willing to sign papers to allow her to move out if that's what she chooses. I'm concerned about the minors rights and entitlements (ie her share of her child support from her father-he resides in CA-and her entitlement to Disability from her fathers claim) to assist in her financial support, if she can legally do so, also she needs medical insurance, she currently lacks medical care. I'm concerned that she be able to receive medical, dental and eye care once residing with me. I guess I'm asking how can I proceed legally to ensure she is looked after properly to protect her rights.

FAQs

If a child expresses a desire to live with the other parent, it's important to communicate openly with them. Understand their reasons and feelings. You may want to discuss the situation with the other parent to see if a mutual agreement can be reached. If necessary, consider involving a mediator or legal professional to facilitate discussions. Keep in mind that the child's best interests should be the primary focus, and any changes in living arrangements may require legal procedures, especially if the child is a minor.
