I paid the back taxes on a house; is it mine? Can I evict a person after giving a 30 day notice?
Can adverse possession be claimed by one sibling against others in California?
Four brothers and sisters inherited a 3 unit building from their late parents. Two brothers live in that building since 1999, only one is paying for all the mortgages and property taxes since year of 2000, and eventually they have to rent some unit out in order to raise money to help for all the expenses. The other brother and sister were never willing to take care of the building nor chip in for the expenses, but recently they show up and ask for their share of the rent money, in this case, can the adverse possession law be used to take over the whole title? Also, if they have to eventually come to the point that building has to be sold, can they ask for the reimbursement for all the money?

Do I have rights to property encroachment by the Port of Brandon?
I own a property that has about 6' of the building and an attached deck of +/- 3' wide & 15' long. On old and current plats, this addition shows as 'encroachment'. The surveys go back to c.1989. As the encroached land belongs to the Port of Brandon, OR. Do I have any 'setter's rights', as neither I nor previous owners have ever been sent a notice by the Port. I have been told that a notice must be given within 3 years. I am now planning to sell the property and need to clarify this situation.
Can my neighbor acquire my land through adverse possession?
I own 80 acres of land and have given my neighbor, who owns land that is land locked next to me, permission to use my driveway and a portion of my field to enter his land. Is it possible for him to ever be able to take the piece of my land he uses? He is well aware that he is using my private property and I pay all taxes for the land. My main question is: Would my neighbor ever be able to aquire the land he uses through adverse posession?
