Can a child at 17 move out of their parents house (if it is okay with the parents) or does it have to be by emancipation? And if emancipation, does that nullify any insurance or inheritance that the child my have?

A parent may be liable for harm to or caused by a minor who moves out before becoming emancipated. Emancipation doesn't automatically disqualify a person as a beneficiary, but the terms of the relevant document will be controlling.
