FAQs

In Minnesota, a minor can leave home without parental consent at the age of 18, which is the age of majority. Until then, parents or guardians are responsible for their minor children. If a minor leaves home before turning 18, the parents may still be held accountable for the child's actions under Minnesota law (Minn. Stat. § 260.015).
