Full question:
I was divorced in October of this year and my ex-husband was supposed to have my name removed from the title of his car and to pay half the income taxes from 2004. He was also supposed to add me to his medical insurance. He has not done these things and is being advised by an attorney that he can drag this out forever and not pay anything. My attorney filed for a contempt of court. What happens next? Can he be charged my lawyer fees?

Answer:
We assume that your ex-husband was required to do the things you described pursuant to the divorce decree.
Contempt of Court is the willful and intentional failure of a party to comply with a court order, judgment, or decree. Contempt may be punishable by a fine, a jail term, or both. A hearing will be held before the Judge to determine if your ex-husband is guilty of contempt of court. The Judge has the discretion to order your ex-husband to pay your attorney's fees.
